“We believe everybody deserves to be shown off. Fashion should be made to fit women, not the other way around,” says Emma.

A brand created by Khloe Kardashian and Emma Grede, after discussing what is means to be a women in today's fashion world.

“Whenever we bought new jeans, it was hard for us to find a pair that fit our body types, and even when we did they’d always need alterations. We knew if we both had this problem, there must be tons of girls who did too." -Khloe Kardashian.

Both Khloe and Emma agreed they wanted to focus on what was missing from the jeans department. The two thought of real women and what type of jeans they needed to create in order to make curvier women feel sexier and more confident. The jeans fit to the shape of the woman, rather than having women try and shape their body to their clothes.

The brand has made four major promises that they have stood behind throughout the entire existence of the company. They have agree to emphasize body positivity, extreme inclusivity, breaking down barriers, and doing good, while looking good.

Body Positivity. The brand has recognized the shift in body ideals in the recent years. They want to be advocates for confidence and feeling good in your own skin. Good American's campaigns feature and focus on many different types of women, coming from different backgrounds.

Extreme Inclusivity. Good American has included sizing that would fit women of all shapes and sizes. The brand seeks to please women, not matter the size.

Breaking Down Barriers. Good American does not separate their clothing depending on sizes. Categories such as, plus-size or petite, do not exist - every size can be found in one spot, on the same item. The fashion world has unnecessarily created these different categories that classify women depending on what their bodies' look like. If all clothing brands include all sizes for every body type, then women would not have to shop in these specific categories.

and finally,

Looking Good and Doing Good. Not only does Good American make women feel sexier and better about themselves, they also give back to the community through a non-profit organization called Step Up.

Step Up helps young girls in under-resourced communities fulfill their potential by empowering them to become more confident. The organization pushes these girls to be college-motivated, career-focused and prepared to enter the professional world.
