Asos is changing the game when it comes to online shopping.

The online fashion and cosmetic retailer has come up with a new tool that allows buyers to view photos of clothing on models with different body types. The website uses augmented reality to shape the clothing unique to certain body shapes.

Although the models that are shown are not actually wearing the clothing, the apparel is digitally placed on the different types of bodies to show what it would look like on someone who looks similar.

Being that online shopping has become increasingly popular, this tool could really benefit many shoppers who are unsure of how certain pieces might fit their bodies.

Many shoppers are hesitant to splurge with online retailers because of the overwhelming uncertainty of the products. Certainly, not every woman is naturally born 6 feet tall, with a size 0 waist like most models who are on these fashion websites modeling clothing that would only look good on them. We have all struggled making our clothing look as good on us as it did on the person wearing it online. This tool will eliminate much of the feelings of nervousness and uncertainty in shoppers.

The brand is well known for their customer inclusivity, adding lines with extended sizing.

Asos is the first and only online retailer to be using this technology today, but could have really started something that will completely redefine the would of cyber shopping.
