The Devil Wears Prada was one of the most iconic fashion movies of this generation, depicting a strong, powerful, and creative Editor-in-Chief who has completely grasped the respect of everyone in the industry through years of expertise.
The character of Miranda Priestly was based off of real-life Editor-in-Chief and fashion influencer, Anna Wintour.

Both respected and feared, Anna Wintour had began her journey at American Vogue as Editor-in-Chief in 1988. Throughout her three-decade reign, the editor has watched as fashion went from a small niche, to a part of society that the whole world is interested in.

Anna Wintour is an empowering individual who has become a successful business woman and a true fashion god. She is known for her extensive knowledge, amazing eye for fashion trends, and undeniable decisiveness. Anna Wintour has always supported young designers and the work that they create.

“Just be true to yourself, and listen as much as one is able to to other people whose opinions you respect and look up to but in the end it has to come from you. You can’t really worry too much by looking to the left and the right about what the competition is doing or what other people in your field are doing. It has to be a true vision.” - Anna Wintour
With her leadership skills and unmatched dedication, Wintour has fought her way to the top of the fashion industry. Coming from a time when not as many women had careers, or were bosses of their companies, Anna Wintour had made a name for herself. The editor worked hard to fight against many obstacles standing in the way of her successes.
